Insightful video. I'll add though that those questions on IQ tests also measure the ability to recognize sometimes obscure patterns given a small amount of data. What number or shape is next in this sequence, given a sequence with only 3 elements. Making that sort of inference on limited data requires a high level of ability to generalize, which means that high IQ folks are actually more likely to find patterns within groups than low IQ folks.

Hi flakyjon, it is true, and most everyone recognizes that there are some ethnic groups that are more likely to be arrested for certain crimes, are more likely to be convicted when arrested, and are more likely to get a prison term when convicted.This is not the same at all though as finding that members of these groups are more likely to be criminals, to engage in criminal acts.
