One of my favorite Irish songs. My family used to sing it when my grandpa played it on his violin.
Ireland forever.

The song was written by an Englishman, Frederick Edward Weatherly and it's about a dog. Sentimental it may be, but isn't even an Irish song. The writer never ever even stepped into Ireland. Myself, I grew up there.

Every time I hear this I think of my time in Ireland. They sang this song in one of the pubs, and it was really moving. The pictures are excellent and they include a few places I've been. What a beautiful place.
